Cal Henderson’s Color Vision Palette for Web Designers

Guest Post by Zack Ybara

Cal Henderson has a nifty free tool for all web designers who want to make sure everyone, color blind or not, can see their websites.

According to the Internet World Stats website, about 1.262 billion people worldwide use the Internet everyday. If one in every twelve people experience some form of color vision deficiency, then that means close to 101 million people may not be able to see your website. Think of all that traffic!

Cal Henderson’s Color Vision Palette lets you input the color scheme that you use for your website’s font color and background color, then shows you how your color scheme looks to people with different kinds of color blindness. You can also use the palette to experiment with color schemes to find the one that all your visitors can agree with.
